FAQs
Membership credits renew automatically each month. Credit packs are purchased as needed and do not require a recurring monthly commitment.
Joining Hardwood Hustle
How do I book a session?
After purchasing a membership or credit pack, log in to the Hardwood Hustle app, select an eligible session, and use one of your available credits to reserve your spot.
What is the difference between a membership and a credit pack?
A membership renews monthly and is designed for athletes who want a consistent training schedule. Members receive recurring credits and more exclusive access to scheduling. Credit packs offer greater flexibility and allow families to purchase multiple sessions without a monthly commitment.
How do I know which membership or credit pack to purchase?
Private training offers the highest level of individualized coaching. Semi-private training combines personalized instruction with small-group competition. Hustle Academy provides a larger, high-energy group environment. Our team is happy to help determine the best fit based on your athlete’s age, experience, confidence, and goals.
Can credits be used for every Hardwood Hustle program?
Credits may only be used for the sessions included with the specific membership or pack purchased. Camps, clinics, town programs, special events, and other seasonal offerings may require separate registration.
Do I need to train on the same day every week?
Not necessarily. Sessions can be booked based on the coach’s availability, your age group, and the type of package purchased. However, we strongly recommend maintaining a consistent training schedule whenever possible.
Are athletes grouped by age?
Yes. Group sessions are organized by age and developmental level whenever possible so athletes can train and grow alongside appropriate peers.
Do unused credits roll over?
Unused credits rollover and they are valid for 2 months.
What happens if we need to cancel a session?
If you need to cancel a class, please do so through the Hardwood Hustle app. Once canceled, the class credit will be returned to your account for future use. There is no cancellation or late fee.
Can I try a class before committing to a membership?
Yes! Families can purchase a single-session credit to try an eligible class before committing to a membership or larger credit pack. This gives your athlete the opportunity to experience the Hardwood Hustle training environment, meet our coaches, and make sure the program is the right fit. All sessions must be reserved in advance through the Hardwood Hustle app, and availability may vary by class.
How do I sign up?
Download the Hardwood Hustle mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Once you create an account and add a credit card on file, you’ll be able to book classes, view schedules, and manage your membership directly through the app. For every booking, you’ll also receive a confirmation email sent to the address linked to your account.
Membership & Booking
What does a flexible booking schedule look like?
Our memberships are designed to fit your schedule. Whether you choose a monthly membership or a package. You can select the days and times each week that work best for you.
Do I need to pre-book all classes?
Yes. Pre-booking ensures smooth scheduling and allows our coaches to properly prepare. Drop-ins are welcome, but you must register online before arriving. Walk-ins without prior registration cannot be accommodated. We recommend booking early to guarantee your spot.
Can I pause my membership if I need a break?
Yes! You can pause your membership for up to four months per calendar year. You can resume full membership at any time with no reactivation fees
Is there a minimum commitment for membership?
No long-term commitment is required. Memberships are month-to-month, giving you the flexibility to adjust your plan as your schedule or goals change.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes. Contact our support team at info@hardwood-hustle.com to cancel. Please allow at least 30 days before the next billing cycle to avoid charges.
How and when are my membership/Package dues collected?
Membership/package dues are collected on the day you sign up and will automatically renew each month on the same date.
Is there a refund policy?
All sales are final – no refunds or extensions will be issued. If you cancel a session at least 24 hours in advance, a credit will be added back to your Hardwood Hustle account for use toward future sessions. Policies are subject to change without notice.
What is a hybrid training program?
Hybrid training allows you to combine different services to maximize development. Common combinations include semi-private + private training or integrating all three services: semi-private, private, and Hustle Academy. Coaches can help you determine the best fit.
Is it first come, first serve?
Yes. Spots in classes, sessions, and camps are available on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend booking early to secure your preferred time and ensure your spot.
Class & Session Logistics
What happens if only one person signs up for a session?
If only one participant signs up, the session will be canceled. The session credit will be returned to your account for future use.
What if the coach reschedules a session?
If a coach reschedules, you will be credited for the session cost, which can be used to book another time convenient for you.
What happens if I’m placed on the waitlist?
If a class is full, you can join the waitlist. When a spot opens up, a Hardwood Hustle coach or staff member will contact you and move you into the class. You’ll only be charged once your spot is confirmed and you’re moved off the waitlist.
What is the class/appointment cancellation policy?
Sessions can be canceled on the mobile app in advance through your account. Cancellations are encouraged to help maintain smooth scheduling and proper coordination with coaches.
Safety & Staff
How does Hardwood Hustle ensure coach safety and background checks?
All staff and volunteers undergo a full background check, including verification of previous work history, three positive references, and a Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check. CORI re-checks occur every three years. Staff must be free of conduct that could compromise the safety and well-being of athletes.
How do you handle injuries or emergencies?
All sessions have trained staff on-site, and coaches follow strict safety protocols. First aid supplies are available, and parents are contacted immediately in the event of an injury.
Athlete & Parent Information
Are boys allowed to participate in Hardwood Hustle programs?
Yes! Hardwood Hustle welcomes athletes of all genders and backgrounds. Inclusivity is an important part of our culture, and we are committed to creating a positive, supportive environment where every athlete feels accepted, respected, and encouraged to grow. Program placement may vary based on age, skill level, and training needs so that each athlete has the best possible experience.
What ages and skill levels do you train?
We train athletes of all ages and skill levels – from beginners in elementary school to high-level high school, college and pro players. Programs are tailored to each age group and skill level.
Do you offer seasonal or holiday camps?
Yes! Hardwood Hustle runs seasonal and holiday camps focusing on skill development, teamwork, and athletic growth. Check our upcoming events page for more information.
What should my child bring to training?
Athletic shoes, basketball gear, water, and a positive attitude.
Can parents watch sessions?
Yes, parents and guardians are permitted to watch sessions. However, due to limited space in our facility, we strongly encourage families to drop athletes off and return when the session ends whenever possible. Parents who choose to stay must remain in the designated viewing area and respect the space needed for athletes and coaches to train safely and stay focused.
How do I track my athlete’s progress?
Coaches provide feedback during sessions and throughout their training journey with us.
Are scholarships or financial aid available?
We occasionally offer scholarships or sliding-scale options. Please contact us for details.
What should I do if I lose jewelry or clothes at Hardwood Hustle?
Check our Lost & Found as soon as possible. Labeling your items helps us return them quickly. We are not responsible for lost or stolen belongings, and unclaimed items are kept for 30 days before being donated or discarded.
